At thirteen, my desire to become a chef was somewhere between ignorance and challenge. Today, I am proud to practice this profession with awareness and rigor.Marion and I are passionate about striving for excellence through proximity. Discovering the best and healthiest products, working in trust with local artisans and producers, highlighting our terroir and responsible craftsmanship, personalizing experiences, and reconnecting with the essentials are all commitments we live by daily and share with our teams and guests.I firmly believe that a return to truth and transparency will allow us to convey an optimistic and sustainable vision of the world.

The World of Marion Béchade

I welcome you to the Auberge, in this beautiful family home, with our vision, our values, and our roots. As if you were at our place.

 

With a solid background and extensive experience in luxury hospitality, Marion Béchade has been writing the history of the Auberge Basque alongside Cédric since they took over a traditional Basque farm in 2006 and transformed it into a contemporary inn.
Humble and passionate, she instills her authentic and human values into the establishment, ensuring that the service remains warm and welcoming, avoiding the trap of stiffness.

Highly sensitive to sustainability issues, she is committed to implementing real eco-responsible practices within the inn: in-room showers, the use of geothermal energy for heating and cooling, waste sorting for glass, cardboard, and paper, among others. She recently applied her intuition and commitment to the renovation of the inn’s twelve rooms. She personally selected vibrant décor, Eco-design labeled furniture, and primarily local and French brands.

In this family-run establishment that fosters both know-how and a sense of being, Marion and Cédric Béchade place great importance on teamwork, knowledge transfer, and the personalization of the guest experience.
