Located in the Upper Soule at the extreme east of
the Basque Country, a 2-hour drive from L’Auberge Basque,
the Kakueta Canyon is a completely protected wild natural area.
Impressive and safe, the path follows a stream that is bordered
on each side by the dizzyingly high rock face. 

The vegetation is lush and soothingly fresh here at
“the end of the world.”  Finally, a nice surprise, a waterfall and
a cave at the end of the path.  About 2 ½ hours round trip.
