Samuel and L’Auberge Basque: a story and friendship that started seven years ago, when Cédric first went to see Marc Veyrat at La Ferme de mon Pére in Megève to present his Basque project. The head sommelier there and at L’Eridan in Annecy, Samuel heard the conversation and told Cédric: “If you do it, I’ll come with you! ”
Four years later he joins L’Auberge Basque as head sommelier.
In 2005 the Gault Millau Guide named him Best French Sommelier, a major step in a career that took him to the Royal Park in Evian, the Vista Palace in Roquebrune Cap Martin, and a Professional Sommelier Diploma taught by Georges Pertuiset, president of the Sommeliers of France.
